Location: New York, NY • Salary: $68,000 - $74,000 annually
Responsibilities
Support the daily oversight of Front Office, Housekeeping, and other operational areas as assigned.
Foster a service-focused, inclusive culture that reflects Hyatt’s purpose of caring for people so they can be their best.
Maintain operational excellence by monitoring staffing, service delivery, and departmental performance.
Partner with department leaders to coach, support, and develop colleagues.
Assist with guest recovery, problem resolution, and service follow-up.
Ensure compliance with brand standards, hotel policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in scheduling, payroll review, inventory controls, and reporting.
Support all shift procedures and act as Manager-on-Duty as needed.
Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain efficient, guest-ready operations.
Qualifications
Minimum 1-2 years of hotel operations leadership experience preferred.
Experience working within a unionized NYC hotel environment is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of hotel operational workflows; familiarity with IWA-covered departments a plus.
Warm, people-first leadership style aligned with Hyatt values.
Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and coaching skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly guest-centric environment.
Proficiency with hotel PMS systems (Opera/Opera Cloud systems experience a plus).
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
