Connecting Top Engineering Talent in Land Development & Water/Wastewater | Texas & Arizona Market Specialist Overview: A growing residential real estate developer is seeking a Development Project Manager to oversee build-to-rent and residential projects from planning through construction and closeout. This role acts as the owner’s representative, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to established quality and safety standards. The position offers the opportunity to work on thoughtfully designed residential communities across high‑growth markets.
Responsibilities
Represent ownership throughout planning, design, construction, and closeout phases
Manage project schedules, milestones, and budgets
Coordinate design reviews, permitting, and agency approvals
Support procurement, bidding, and contractor selection
Oversee on‑site construction progress, quality, and safety
Review RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and change orders
Monitor contractor performance and identify risks early
Communicate project status to internal teams and external stakeholders
Manage punch lists, project closeout, and warranty support
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business Management, Finance, Real Estate Development, etc.)
4–5 years of experience in residential development (homebuilding, multifamily, or build‑to‑rent)
At least 2 years of project management experience
Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
PMP certification and experience with special districts preferred but not required
Seniority level Associate
