Location: Vista, California—part of beautiful San Diego County approximately 7 miles from the Pacific Coast.

Sign-On Bonus Agreement – $5,000
Payment Installment: $5,000 will be paid following the successful completion of six (6) months of continuous employment with the TURN BHS.
What You’ll Need Master’s degree and licensed (MFT, LCSW, LPCC) required. A passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to excellence.
Job Summary Act as Team Lead and provide oversight and supervision to clinicians and peer support staff. Assist Program Manager in managing clinic operations. Recommend and assist with access to medical, educational, social, vocational, housing, and more to support program goals. Initiate referrals to the next level of care, coordinate with physical health providers to ensure whole-person care, and advocate in the best interest of clients.
Responsibilities Provide assessments, mental health evaluations, family-individual-group therapy, plan development, case consultation, crisis intervention, discharge placement, and assist clients in meeting basic needs and symptom management. Complete accurate and timely documentation, meet minimum billable requirements for direct client services. Facilitate placement including pre-placement visits, and transportation as needed. Provide field-based services as required by program and client need. Maintain confidentiality of client’s care. Participate in scheduled program meetings. Assist the Program Manager in the onboarding of newly hired clinical staff & interns; provide consultation on high-risk client cases, program eligibility requirements, documentation & billing requirements, crisis situations, & program policies. Assign monthly peer reviews and maintain internal peer review tracker. Train staff on findings of monthly peer review to ensure program accountability to compliance standards. Attend monthly Quality Improvement Partners meetings & send notes to PM & staff. Review monthly Quality Assurance memos from the County & distribute information to PM & staff. Oversee the quarterly Utilization Review Committee & ensure at least 5 client charts are reviewed for UM/UR per quarter. Submit tracking data to PM as requested. Daily, review and assign clients who missed a psychiatric appointment to a clinician to conduct follow-up and engagement efforts. Assign clients who missed an assessment to the intake specialist for follow-up. Provide input towards program policy and procedure design, revision, and deletion. Complete all assigned duties within the time frame and according to the standards as established by the Program Manager. Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications Master’s degree and CA BBS license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC). Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required. Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services to high-risk/high-acuity clientele preferred. Cultural competency understanding required. Bilingual preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred. At least 1 year of leadership or project management experience required.
