Job Overview The

Facilities Specialist

at the Port St. Lucie location assists in the day-to-day care and maintenance of all buildings and grounds. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, some weekends, and holidays. This is a full-time, temporary position and ends in April, 2026.

Responsibilities

Oversee and actively participate in setup and teardown for services, meetings, classrooms, conferences, and special events on campus.

Maintain buildings and grounds, including custodial support, minor repairs, and general maintenance.

Monitor building conditions regularly and proactively address issues.

Respond to work orders, prioritise tasks, and ensure timely completion.

Safely operate vehicles, power tools, and equipment as needed.

Assist with emergency responses and alarm calls as needed.

Perform other tasks and projects assigned by campus leadership or Central Facilities to ensure smooth campus operations.

Education

High School Diploma

Associate's Degree or Higher preferred, but not required

Certifications and Licenses

Florida Driver's License

Job Specs Classification: Full-time (40 hours/week), hourly (non-exempt), including weekends and some week nights. Reporting to: Facilities Manager
