What You Will Do
Manage configuration, kitting, and installation readiness for aircraft mods including 10G, Live DRE, and Airborne Antenna upgrades.
Coordinate procurement and material flow, generating Short Text POs, executing P‑Card purchases, and ensuring timely delivery of mission‑critical components.
Serve as the primary logistics and configuration lead for the Tail‑5 Program, overseeing end‑to‑end planning, documentation, and hardware movement.
Provide part‑time backup for DLS operations and ensure continuity of support during surge periods or personnel absences.
Support Field Logistics Support Organization (FLSO) while on call, including remote and on‑aircraft field support when maintenance, modifications, or troubleshooting is required.
Lead laboratory configuration activities, ensuring alignment to program baselines, compliance requirements, and engineering direction.
Forecast hardware movement, shipping schedules, and installation timelines to support the execution of modification and test events.
Conduct audits and compliance reviews, ensuring readiness for customer assessments and internal process evaluations.
Participate in peer reviews, identifying issues, validating configuration accuracy, and ensuring consistent documentation.
Travel to aircraft or depot locations as needed to support installation events, troubleshooting, kitting verification, or program stand‑ups.
Qualifications You Must Have
University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with 3 years of experience.
Experience with aircraft modification and/or sustainment programs.
Experience with procurement tools (e.g., Short Text PO generation, P‑Card purchasing, and/or vendor coordination).
Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance required prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.
Qualifications We Prefer
Hands‑on experience with aircraft modification efforts such as 10G, Live DRE, Airborne Antenna Mods, or similar avionics integration programs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to support field coordination, internal reporting, and customer‑facing updates.
Experience supporting logistics for APIP, Spectre, or Tail‑5 Program hardware.
Knowledge of configuration management practices, including kit tracking, serialization, baseline control, and documentation management.
Experience supporting spares and repairs cycles, particularly with Boeing Spares or similar OEM‑managed pipelines.
Familiarity with field support operations, including FLSO or on‑aircraft modification support.
Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) tools.
Ability to identify process improvements, streamline procurement cycles, and resolve emergent logistics issues under time constraints.
