Role Overview We are looking for a
genuine, friendly, and empathetic
self‑starter to join the team at our
Boise Pulmonary Clinic . As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a significant part in creating a great experience for patients and their families! The Patient Service Representative works in partnership with our physicians and clinical staff to take care of patients’ administrative needs.
Check in patients for appointments
Collect patient co‑pays
Answer telephones and take accurate messages
Schedule appointments and check insurance eligibility
Use EPIC to update required information

Position Details Full‑time position with Monday‑Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or similar). Supports 12 Pulmonary providers. Located at 1075 N Curtis Rd #200, Boise, ID 83706. Requires flexibility to cover at our Nampa Pulmonary clinic when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Previous customer service experience required (healthcare experience preferred)
Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus; medical terminology preferred
Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferred
Essential Functions
Demonstrate the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions
Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information and following HIPAA regulations
Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
Additional Duties
Acknowledge and greet patients immediately, providing a positive customer service experience
Register patients for appointments and complete paperwork
Verify and update existing patient and insurance information
Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival
Inform patients immediately of delays, explain why, and the anticipated wait time
Collect, record, and communicate patient responsible balances for visit, diagnostic testing, supplies, etc.
Maintain knowledge of different payer practices and deductibles
Assist patients with all aspects of Financial Assistance paperwork
Control credit extended to patients via a payment plan
Maintain business office inventory and equipment, and order supplies
Maintain a neat work area including the reception area
Follow Cash Control Policy and Procedure and balance daily financial activities, ensuring collection of payments at time of service
