2nd Shift Working Foreman – JX Truck Center

Job Purpose The Working Foreman is responsible for discussing vehicle problems with customers, diagnosing repairs through preliminary test drives, and delegating necessary work assignments to technicians.
Hours Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm – Midnight.
Pay $30–$45 per hour (based on experience, certifications, etc.)
Shift Premium Any hours worked/work performed Monday–Friday, 5:00 p.m. – 5:59 a.m., and/or any hours worked on weekends will be paid a shift differential of 15% of the base wage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Discuss vehicle problems with customers and diagnose repairs through preliminary test drives.
Supervise maintenance and repair work to ensure it is efficient and correct.
Maintain good customer relations and enforce shop safety policies.
Participate in learning opportunities and share knowledge with technicians.
Apply innovative diagnostic techniques and oversee preventive maintenance.
Allocate resources effectively and fill in for Service Advisor as needed.
Adapt to evolving organizational needs and undertake additional responsibilities.
Other Duties As Assigned
Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional trade school training preferred.
5–7 years of related experience in truck service operations.
Mechanical and refinishing knowledge required.
Valid driver’s license required; CDL required or ability to obtain.
Dependable and reliable attendance required.
Physical And Mental Demands
Continuous standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, using hand and power tools, wearing PPE, frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, lifting up to 75 pounds, occasional sitting, driving, and exposure to fumes.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents; write reports; present information.
Ability to use mathematical concepts and problem‑solving skills.
Working Environment
Normal shop conditions with frequent loud noise.
