Substitute Teacher – Dallas & Surrounding Areas, TX Teachers Now is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated individuals to step into classrooms and make a real impact across Dallas and nearby cities including Mesquite, Carrollton, Plano, and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
Substitute teach and implement lesson plans provided by the absent teacher
Manage classrooms and encourage active student participation while maintaining a positive learning environment
Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students across Pre‑K through 12th grade
Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and playgrounds during assignments
Deliver in‑class assignments based on available lesson plans
For long‑term assignments, collaborate with department heads to ensure continuity with the regular teacher’s structure
Maintain professionalism, safety, and respect in all interactions with students and staff
Qualifications
Required: Associate degree or 60+ college credit hours
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or teacher certification
Prior substitute teaching experience (preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Positive, friendly, and professional attitude
Ability to lead and engage students of all ages while ensuring a safe learning environment
General knowledge across multiple subjects
Flexibility to follow or adapt lesson plans as needed
Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to handle classroom challenges
