Job Title: Senior Mobile Device Software Developer (Remote)
Remote – Poland / must overlap with US Eastern Time (min. 4 hours)
Hourly Rate Range (B2B) 120 – 160 PLN/h
About the Role We’re looking for a
Sr. Mobile Device Software Developer
to join a specialized engineering team working on system-level software for Android-based devices. In this role, you’ll be responsible for enhancing and maintaining core components such as device firmware, security modules, and system services.
This is a backend-heavy mobile development role — ideal for engineers with experience close to the OS layer, including AOSP, HAL, and native Android components.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop
low-level Android system components
and services
Modify and extend
AOSP
and
vendor-specific frameworks
Work with
JNI , native libraries, and system APIs
Integrate with mobile security modules, device management, and OTA systems
Debug and resolve performance or stability issues across device stacks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Product
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in
Android or embedded systems development
Strong programming skills in
Java
and
C/C++
Hands‑on experience with
AOSP , HAL layers, and system services
Knowledge of Android build systems and platform‑level debugging
Understanding of
mobile security , device provisioning, and encryption
Good spoken and written English communication
Nice to Have
Experience with
custom ROM development
Familiarity with
OTA updates ,
device MDM/EMM , or enterprise‑grade mobile deployments
Exposure to
Linux kernel , bootloader, or embedded firmware
Background in telecom, IoT, or custom Android hardware platforms
Client Industry:
