About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Entry-Level Data Engineer
to join our growing data team. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and analysts to build, maintain, and improve our data pipelines, infrastructure, and analytics capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational programming and database skills to start their career in data engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
Work with ETL tools and processes to collect, transform, and load data from various sources.
Support the development and maintenance of data warehouses and data lakes.
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to ensure data availability and quality.
Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
Implement basic data validation, cleansing, and quality checks.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Python/SQL code.
Document data workflows, processes, and system changes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
Basic experience with Python or another scripting language.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data modeling fundamentals.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with version control (Git).
Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
Knowledge of APIs and data integration methods.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster).
Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
