Engineer – Teradata, SAS Developer

Job Description Join to apply for the Engineer role at Tata Consultancy Services. This position focuses on Teradata and SAS data solutions, leveraging SQL, ETL pipelines, and analytics to support business decision-making.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate routines to support delivery of technology solutions (e.g., kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates).
Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple technology teams.
Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for defined deliverables.
Promote and facilitate communication and collaboration across organizations to support deliverable completion and timeline. Articulate clear updates and critical path.
Gather and facilitate project updates for deliverables to stakeholders and leadership regarding delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.
Ensure that execution aligns with deliverable requirements by working with sponsors and stakeholders.
Identify emerging risks/issues, escalating as needed, and determine critical paths for resolution.
Execute due diligence and financial management routines to deliver against financial commitments.
Ensure deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards and maintain evidence and records for change.
Support resource planning for delivery and execution.
Use strong MS Excel skills to reconcile costs with other record systems.
Qualifications
Prior experience with bank data sources (for internal candidates).
Experience with DTS (for internal candidates).
Familiarity with AGILE tools and methodologies, use of Jira, and knowledge of story development and organization from business requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills, as this role works closely with LOB partners and vendor representatives.
Highly proficient with Teradata SQL to perform ETL, build tables and views, and organize data for reporting and analytics.
Proficient with Korn Shell (KSH) in a Linux environment.
Knowledge of BTEQ.
Strong application development skills related to data mart management.
Foundational development knowledge to support reporting and analytics.
Provide consultative capability in addressing complex business issues, data investigation, and user research requests.
Assist with application management activities where needed: process flows, Business Process Management (BPM), and application governance.
Salary Range $95,000 – $115,000 per year
