Technical Adoption Manager
Location:
Remote – work from a home office in the continental United States. Candidate must be able to travel up to 30% regionally.
Role Overview:
As a Technical Adoption Manager (TAM), you will serve as a trusted advisor, driving a cross‑functional, unified customer experience. Your technical, communication and collaboration skills will help customers achieve business value through adoption of VMware’s technology.
Success in the Role
Within one month: articulate customer key business objectives, craft a joint Success Plan and begin execution.
Throughout the year: deliver technology roadmaps and assessments, provide solution guidance, identify performance optimization opportunities and optimize operations.
Drive consumption and customer health, retain customers and present progress in Quarterly Business Reviews.
Continuously grow technical knowledge of VMware solutions and soft‑skills through VMware structured training.
The Work
Leverage experience in customer‑facing roles (TAM, Solution Engineer, professional services).
Map VMware solutions to customer business and technical requirements; expertise with Multi‑cloud products (vSphere, VCF, VCF Operations, NSX, VMC/AWS).
Use TAM playbook, tools and kits to guide customers through success planning, technology assessment, solution guidance, operations optimization and industry insights.
Build relationships with CxO, collaborate with multi‑functional VMware teams and keep track of customers’ plans to drive completion.
Contribute back to the global TAM community, share experiences and learn from peers.

Experience and Education • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant year's experience in lieu of a degree may be considered. • 12+ years related experience.

Compensation and Benefits On Target Earnings (OTE) range: $151,900 – $243,000, including sales incentive commission. Eligible for equity under the company equity plan.
