Job Description The Advanced Electro-Optical Systems Group specializes in the rapid design and prototyping of innovative electro-optic systems that support the Department of Defense, NASA, and other U.S. government organizations. The group has deep expertise in satellite systems, electro-optical and infrared sensors, electronics, image processing, and low‑Swap (size, weight, and power) optical communications. By combining hardware and software development under one roof, the group rapidly architects, prototypes, and deploys end‑to‑end systems tailored to mission needs. We work closely with end users to transform enabling concepts into operational capabilities on accelerated timelines.

We are seeking self‑motivated engineers and scientists with multidisciplinary skill sets and a passion for prototyping cutting‑edge systems that address critical national challenges.

Responsibilities

Strong foundation in electro‑optical, infrared, or related sensor technologies

Experience in hardware and/or software development

Knowledge of satellite systems, optical communication, or low‑Swap technologies

Ability to work across disciplines

End‑to‑end hardware system design and analysis

Requirements

B.S. in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Aeronautical Engineering, or other relevant technical field. 5 years of experience would be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Experience with electro‑optical systems, sensors, imaging technologies, or optical communications

This is an on‑site, collaborative role

Preferred Qualifications

Prior work with space systems, autonomous vehicles, or robotics

Proficiency in C++, Python, and/or MATLAB

Demonstrated ability to solve broad technical problems and complex engineering challenges

Recent Graduate Hiring Range: $100,200-$120,000

Experienced Hiring Range: $100,200-$150,000
