Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs; occasional standing/walking with objects up to 10lbs; regular computer use; ability to travel to various locations on and off campus for service and meetings.

Shift:

Primarily days (Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–5:00 pm). Exempt position may require additional time outside of normal hours.

Job Summary:

UK Information Technology Services’ Information Services Division seeks to employ an Information Technology Support Specialist III to drive standardization and provide customer support utilizing industry best practices and tools. Duties include managing service incidents and requests sourced directly from customers, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus service desk. Applicants need to work independently while maintaining a collaborative spirit with team members and providing respectful customer‑oriented assistance. Successful candidates will possess self‑motivation, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all clients. They will provide both onsite and remote technical services to the University of Kentucky campus community.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Script writing, system automation, security profiling, system patch management, Win OS 2003‑Current, MS SCCM, Win Server, MS Products, MS Office, macOS, iOS, UEM. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Advanced system troubleshooting and expert knowledge of PC and OSX based software and hardware. Ability to function independently as well as part of a team.
