Job Summary Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing improvement projects, and for providing diagnostic subject‑matter expertise to enhance overall plant reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Conduct root‑cause analysis and prepare reports for management.
Provide primary or backup technical support for plant systems and processes.
Utilize online monitoring systems to analyze, trend, and monitor plant performance data.
Support maintenance, outage, and small capital projects.
Act as technical lead on specific or complex projects.
Assist in problem solving, equipment condition assessments, and represent Entergy during shop repairs.
Engage in diagnostic services as required.
Maintain and monitor DCS and Mark VI systems.
Implement approved logic changes in DCS.
Collaborate with IT on plant computer system issues.
Train production technicians in DCS and Mark VI.
Manage project deliverables and timelines.
Participate in repair and maintenance activities.
Maintain plant relays.
Minimum Technical Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Bachelor’s degree in a technical science field.
Minimum Experience
Tech Support Specialist II:
2+ years of power plant or relevant industrial technical experience.
Tech Support Specialist III:
4+ years of power plant or relevant industrial technical experience.
Tech Support Specialist Sr.:
6+ years of power plant or relevant industrial technical experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong computer skills and self‑direction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Capacity for call‑outs and evening or weekend work.
Good record‑keeping and reporting abilities.
Location & Travel
Primary Location: Arkansas – El Dorado.
Travel: Up to 25% of time required.
