Responsibilities
Prior litigation experience in California state and federal courts is required; appellate experience is preferred.
Prepare and format pleadings, correspondence, forms, and other legal documents.
Generate Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents for motions.
File (electronically, via facsimile, or paper) and serve court documents and related correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, and law‑and‑motion documents with opposing counsel and local, state, and federal courts.
Serve and format discovery requests and subpoenas.
Request records (medical, employment, etc.) via record services and maintain subpoenaed records log.
Accurately calendar deadlines and reminders, keeping attorneys aware of scheduled and approaching events via Outlook.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail for supported attorneys.
Schedule hearings, meetings, depositions, conference calls, and assist with travel arrangements when necessary.
Enter time and handle billing for assigned timekeepers.
Assist fellow co‑workers and/or other timekeepers as requested.
Prior experience with editing and drafting CC&Rs is preferred.
Prior experience with Worldox, Coyote Analytics, and Westlaw is preferred.
Qualifications
3–5 years of litigation experience.
Senior Level Mid‑Senior level.
