Criminal Justice Faculty – 10‑Month position at Community College of Baltimore County.
Pay Range Base salary: $63,036.00 / yr to $87,255.00 / yr. Pay will be based on experience and skills.
Class Description Seeking an individual to teach within the Criminal Justice Studies program. Full load (30 credit hours) of instruction during the Fall and Spring semesters, college and community service, student advising, departmental support, and ongoing professional development are required. The position involves teaching primarily on the Catonsville campus and online. An on‑campus presence of a minimum of two days per week is required. Preferred candidates are enthusiastic about and pedagogy, use best teaching practices, and are committed to hands‑on student learning. Best consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate excellence in teaching, have experience at the community college level, and can teach a variety of criminal justice courses.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in criminal justice or related field (required).
Five years of experience in community or institutional corrections (required).
Teaching Requirements
Two years of college‑level or academy‑entry‑level teaching preferred.
Online teaching experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to teach Introduction to Criminal Justice, Criminology, Juvenile Justice, Social Justice, Ethics, and related courses.

Essential Duties
Develop and deliver clear, effective instruction using traditional and technology‑based methods.
Meet all assigned classes during instructional periods.
Communicate academic information, including syllabi and policies, and respond to student emails and phone calls promptly.
Maintain required office hours per College policy.
Provide timely and meaningful assessment with qualitative and quantitative feedback.
Maintain organized instructional materials and student work.
Maintain Learning Management System (e.g., Brightspace) site, providing students with access to syllabi, grades, and supplemental materials.
Support students, other college units, and comply with state and federal laws.
Collaborate with colleagues in curricular development, assessment practices, and record keeping.
Complete staff reports and documentation on time.
Participate in committee, departmental, school, and college meetings.
Provide college and community service through collegial and individual initiatives.
Continuously develop professional expertise through professional development or scholarship.
