Associate Attorney – Evans & Dixon, LLC
Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Evans & Dixon is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate with two to five plus years of experience to join our real estate team. Our practice primarily involves civil litigation centered around real estate contracts, deeds, title, access, easements, adverse possession, liens and lien priorities, and more. We also handle some transactional real estate matters and general business litigation for our clients.
This position requires someone who is comfortable with multi‑tasking and can autonomously handle files. Successful candidates should be teachable and have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a book of business.
Responsibilities
Gathering evidence in support of client strategy
Taking depositions
Attending court as required
Conducting discovery
Performing legal research
Remaining current with developments in the law
Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents
Skills and Specifications
2‑5+ years of experience working in litigation
Prior experience in property or lending law preferred, but not required
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage and track volume caseload with multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent negotiation skills
Be able to work efficiently with corporate professionals
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education and Qualifications
Must be licensed and able to practice law in Missouri
A law degree from an ABA accredited law school
Licensure in other states is a plus
