In order to ensure your application is complete, you must complete the following:## Job Title:Operations Manager## Department:Public Health | Division of EpidemiologyThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing essential administrative tasks for The Ohio Policy Evaluation Network (OPEN), a reproductive health research project primarily based at The Ohio State University, University of Cincinnati, and Case Western Reserve University. At Ohio State, OPEN staff are employed at the College of Public Health.OPEN’s Operations Manager works closely with leadership to manage a complex set of grant-funded projects. This work includes:* leading administrative systems development;* managing relationships with external stakeholders;* preparing budget proposals and spending reports;* coordinating project-related contracts;* providing technical support for managing file systems and guest accounts;* and performing administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.The Operations Manager reports to the Principal Investigators and is a member of the project’s Executive Committee. In this role, the Operations Manager may serve as a resource for colleagues on matters related to systems management, project operations, etc. They will most often complete their work independently, though are expected to seek input from the project team on new initiatives and process improvement. To successfully work with the OPEN team, the Operations Manager is expected to exchange information on sensitive matters related to project work and personnel, as well as build consensus with project team members across institutions.About the project: The Ohio Policy Evaluation Network (OPEN) conducts and translates rigorous and forward-thinking social-science research about abortion and contraception, focused on policies and structural inequities related to Ohioans and people in neighboring states. Our interdisciplinary team assesses and disseminates findings related to reproductive health outcomes, equity, access, cost, and autonomy in the context of federal and state laws and policies.## Additional Information:This position is contingent upon grant funding that is expected to be renewed on June 1, 2026; the funder makes annual awards and the project has been funded since 2018. This position is renewable based on continued availability of funding and performance.***Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and resume as part of the application process.*****Location:** The Operations Manager is an in-person role based in Columbus, Ohio with an office on Ohio State’s campus.**Required Education:** Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.**Required Experience:*** 4 years of relevant experience* Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously* Commitment to reproductive justice, health, and equity* Proficiency with Microsoft Office* Ability to identify and propose efficiency enhancements in existing processes, while building internal consensus* Strong attention to detail* Strong initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to move projects forward* Ability to build and lead durable relationships with a wide variety of people, including internal team members and external stakeholders* Involvement in or collaboration with research project(s)**Desired Experience:*** Experience working in abortion or related fields* Experience with management systems: Workday, Airtable, Excel, and Basecamp* Excellent written and verbal communications skills* Familiarity with the reproductive health policy landscape in Ohio and surrounding states* Experience in public health, sociology, or reproductive health fields**Desired Education:** Advanced degree in relevant field**Pay Range:** $70,100-$75,000*Salary will be based off of education, experience, internal equity, and budget allowance.*FUNCTION: Business Planning and OperationsSUB-FUNCTION: Business OperationsCAREER BAND: Individual Contributor-SpecializedCAREER LEVEL: S3## Location:Cunz Hall (0293)## Position Type:Term (Fixed Term)## Scheduled Hours:40## **Shift:**First Shift***Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
