SUMMARY: The Senior HR Operations Generalist is responsible for leading and executing complex HR operational processes across the full employee life cycle, ensuring data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert for HR operations, immigration coordination, compliance, and HRIS administration. This position does not include payroll, benefits administration, employee relations case management, or performance management ownership.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES Employee Life Cycle Leadership
Own and oversee end‑to‑end HR processes for onboarding, internal transfers, promotions, job changes, leaves coordination, and offboarding.
Ensure all employee status changes are accurately processed, documented, and reflected in HR systems.
Lead onboarding execution, including documentation, system access coordination, policy acknowledgements, and compliance requirements.
Oversee offboarding processes, exit documentation, exit interviews, and access deactivation coordination.
Serve as an escalation point for complex employee life‑cycle transactions.
HR Operations & HRIS Ownership
Maintain high standards of data integrity, accuracy, and audit readiness within the HRIS and employee records.
Serve as a senior point of contact for HR operations inquiries related to employment status, policies, and HR systems.
Lead HR data audits, reconciliations, and system validations.
Partner with HR leadership on HRIS enhancements, testing, implementations, and process redesign.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR operational processes.
Compliance & Risk Management
Administer and oversee employment eligibility verification (I‑9, E‑Verify) and related compliance activities.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, record retention, and documentation standards. Lead preparation and response for internal and external HR audits.
Support policy administration, handbook updates, and acknowledgement tracking.
Monitor compliance deadlines, required trainings, and regulatory documentation.
Immigration Support
Lead coordination of employment‑based immigration processes with external immigration counsel (H‑1B, L‑1, TN, OPT, STEM OPT).
Track visa expirations, renewals, and compliance timelines.
Maintain immigration files, documentation, and audit‑ready records.
Act as the primary operational liaison between employees, HR leadership, and immigration vendors.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of data and documentation for immigration cases.
HR Reporting, Projects & Continuous Improvement
Prepare and analyze HR operational reports related to headcount, employee movement, onboarding/offboarding metrics, and compliance.
Support organizational changes and HR‑led initiatives from an operational execution perspective.
Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives within HR operations.
Mentor or provide guidance to junior HR operations team members as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
6–10 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on HR operations and employee life‑cycle administration.
Demonstrated experience handling complex HR transactions and compliance‑driven processes.
Hands‑on experience coordinating employment‑based immigration processes required or strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paylocity or similar).
Strong Excel and HR reporting capabilities.
Deep working knowledge of I‑9, E‑Verify, record retention, and audit requirements.
SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR certifications preferred.
