The Payroll & Human Resources Specialist is responsible for overseeing facility payroll, HR operations, and benefits administration in compliance with company policies and all state and federal regulations. This role supports employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll processing, and compliance activities essential to facility operations. Key Responsibilities

Process and maintain accurate semi-monthly payroll for facility employees Manage timekeeping, payroll edits, differentials, overtime, and employee status changes Reconcile payroll reports and ensure timely submission Maintain confidential and audit-ready personnel files Track and verify employee licenses, certifications, and required health documentation Support employee relations, disciplinary documentation, terminations, and investigations Coordinate recruiting, prescreening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding Conduct new-hire orientation and ensure compliance with onboarding requirements Communicate benefits programs and payroll-related policies Assist with unemployment claims and hearings Ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations Act on behalf of HR leadership when needed Participate in employee recognition and engagement initiatives Qualifications

High school diploma required 2+ years of payroll experience required HR or long-term care experience strongly preferred Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment regulations Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Strong organizational and communication skills Must be local to the Kansas City, MO area Join a Team Where Your Work Truly Matters.
