HV Engineers - SAP level 66kV - East Anglia

You will provide support to a local large scale windfarm project during the initial construction and commissioning phase. Your expertise in Project Management, Electrical Engineering and HV Safety will be applied to operate and maintain critical HV infrastructure. You will also be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of HV assets. This role offers the opportunity to apply your skills across a flagship UK windfarm project, delivering to the standards of an industry leading developer.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:-
Support and contribute to the team’s culture of excellence.
Operate high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) Equipment
Being an Ambassador of the Global Electrical and Mechanical Safety Rules.
HV Interface management between client and transmission operator site engineers and control room
Contribute to the authoring of key HV project documents (commissioning switching programme)
Mentoring OEG Operational team members.
Author Standard Operating Procedures
Lead daily Communication, Planning and Coordination with the project site Engineers and Control Point.
Adapt to changing operational needs and ensuring continuous support for project construction and energisation activities.
24/7 Emergency response and shift rota participation.
Health and Safety Responsibilities-
Health and safety of all staff under direct control or supervision. Ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner in line with current risk assessments and good working practices. Ensure accident/incidents are reported in a timely manner. Comply with OEG Group Health and Safety Policy.
Quality Responsibilities
To have a general understanding of the areas of our ISO 9001 management system that are relevant to the role, comply with our OEG Group Quality Policy and have an understanding of OEG’s targets and objectives.
Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will be considered an experienced HV Operations Specialist with a proven track record of operating in offshore & onshore environments. This candidate will bring a robust understanding of HV operational skills within the HV infrastructure. They should be able to demonstrate current and significant previous experience in the Implementation of key safety protocols and industry best practices promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
This role offers the opportunity to further expand your expertise in HV systems while working on UK projects in the renewable energy sector.

Advanced in the use of Office 365
Portfolio of experience demonstrating vast experience in both Onshore & Offshore HV Equipment & Substation environments.
Experience in Operating Switchgear (Up to 66kV) with the various OEM HV Infrastructure
Highly desirable Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent
Current authorisation under Electrical and Mechanical Safety Rules
Demonstrable knowledge of setting people to work
Competent to manage ‘Safe System of Work’ and the Electrical and Mechanical Safety Rules procedures are followed
Competent in the formal reviewing of RAMS to ensure Safe System of Work is maintained
Ability to meet the requirements of GWO O&G Offshore Medical and survival certificates are essential
Confident and Experienced in Remote working and Travel
Fluent in both spoken and written English
Qualifications
Qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Technology are required, with a strong foundation in practical and theoretical aspects of the discipline
Qualified SAP 66kV
