We are seeking a hands‑on
Data Center Optical Engineer
to support hyperscale data center operations, including optical transport, remote hands, break‑fix, and hardware support. Responsibilities
Provide remote hands services following MOPs and engineering documentation. Rack, stack, cable, and decommission data center equipment. Install, route, label, and terminate copper and fiber cabling (CAT5/6, SM/MM fiber). Test and turn up 10G–100G circuits using OTDR, power meters, BERT, RFC2544, Y.1564, iPerf. Troubleshoot optical, IP transport, and hardware issues. Replace routers, switches, servers, and transport equipment. Work with AC/DC power, redundant feeds, and ATS. Perform site audits, documentation, and oversee 3rd-party on-site work. Qualifications
3–5 years of data center or network operations experience. Customer‑facing experience required; team lead experience preferred. Strong knowledge of optical, IP transport, and data center environments. Able to work independently in fast‑paced environments. OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain). Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs; work in overhead racks, confined spaces, and varied environments.
