Program Financial Analyst – Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory

Responsibilities
Prepare, review and analyze financial data related to FPS direct‑sponsored project portfolio, including monthly updates of project plans, highlighting financial spending and staffing trends, identifying anomalies and calculating financial projections.
Build, update and submit all monthly financial reports to government sponsors and program managers.
Lead the proposal development process by working with resource owners to identify staffing requirements and preparing all basis of estimates (BOEs), resulting in accurate and fully compliant proposal packages for submission to government sponsors.
Perform a broad range of financial operations functions, including leading all efforts related to contract and financial administration and providing sound contractual and financial guidance and recommendations for best practices to program managers.
Actively participate in program reviews and sponsor meetings and proactively respond to and address all business/financial matters pertaining to the program.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business (e.g., Business Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance) or equivalent; 2+ years of relevant experience in financial and cost analysis.
Self‑starter with high initiative, capable of effectively communicating with internal and external customers.
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
Hold an active Secret level security clearance (or qualify for it). Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.

Previous experience in a DoD contracting environment.
Working knowledge of FAR and federal government pricing procedures.
Experience with proposal preparation and project financial reporting software.
Pay Range Base pay range: $62,900.00/yr - $180,300.00/yr
