Qualifications Associate Degree in Accounting or related field. Team player with ability to relate and work well with others, self-motivated with ability to work without direct supervision, deadline orientated with good time management skills, attention to detail, must be able to maintain confidentiality, proficiency with computers and software systems, including Microsoft Office. Must possess a valid driver’s license with safe driving record. Must successfully complete criminal investigation background check and pre-employment drug screening. Must maintain current credentials.

Position Details (This is a sampling of duties/responsibilities of this position) Daily Accounts Payable needs. Weekly Cash Receipts postings. Maintaining grant files with approved grant awards, budgets, invoices and reports. Ability to read, understand, and interpret grant award documents/contracts. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, grants accounting in order to understand grant award agreements to manage grant financial reporting requirements. Knowledge of accounting entries and functions, working with databases, ability to resolve system issues, and extract data for analysis. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically EXCEL. Will be required to pass an Excel skills test. Entering and maintaining budgets into accounting system. Submitting required reports to funding sources (Monthly and Final Expenditure Reports, Invoices and cash requests). Maintain files on agency cash receipts and journal vouchers with complete documentation. Print Accounts Payable checks. Draw down agency monies from PMS system (HS) & HUD (Simms). Prepare weekly agency deposits and record cash receipts in accounting system. Transfer plr and related taxes within bank accounts. Remit State Withholding Tax payments. Maintain checks in positive pay file (upload/void). Maintain HS property appraisals file for in‑kind purposes. Close out agency programs in accounting system. Review and maintain agency accounts in MIP (Acct) system. Assist auditors as needed. Assist CFO as needed. Assist Sr. Staff Accountant as needed. Prepare information for funding source reviews. Agency postage allocation billing. Monthly H/I journal voucher. Process payroll and complete all payroll related duties. Lead all accounts payable duties. Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of bank accounts as assigned. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
