Starting Pay:
$16+ per hour (depends on experience)
Shift:
Full-time or part-time (10–20 hrs/week). Minimum Monday–Wednesday availability required.
Location On-site in Rapid City, SD.

Position Overview We are seeking a Payroll & Data Entry Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for YMCA employees. The role involves managing employee deductions, garnishments, and payroll inquiries while maintaining compliance with labor laws and YMCA policies.
Responsibilities
Utilize the HRIS payroll system (iSolved or similar) to oversee payroll activities.
Maintain compliance with labor laws and YMCA policies.
Collaborate with department directors to verify timesheets, overtime, grant designations, and other payroll data before finalizing payroll.
Submit payroll reports for review, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely completion of payroll processing.
Maintain secure and confidential payroll records and assist with internal payroll audits.
Process authorized wage garnishments, bank authorizations for payroll checks, and review medical, dental, and vision invoices for accuracy.
Administer employee deductions for United Way donations, prepare retirement fund transmittals, and process invoices related to benefits and payroll services.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
1–2 years of payroll processing experience required; familiarity with iSolved or similar payroll systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a history of maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to meet deadlines and uphold high standards of accuracy.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days of employment.
Seniority Level Entry level.
