At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Systems Administrator - WOS, a typical day will include the following duties:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in the whole process lifecycle from technical research to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure through to application/product delivery. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners.

The successful candidate will be managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systems. They will manage a Windows domain, using Active Directory, Group Policy, Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator, Configuration Manager, PowerShell, Horizon/Omnissa and Delinea.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or other related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work/military experience

Minimum five (5) years of related systems engineering experience in systems administration and analysis

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systems

Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems through approval and processing of patches

Interact with users and evaluates vendor products

Research and recommend hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery

Monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources

May program in an administrative language

Leverage scripting and system automation tools

Oversee implementation of testing strategies and document results

Provide advice and training to end-users

Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned

Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice

Use VMware to build and maintain virtual machines

Salary Range: $101,566.40 to $169,624.00

A candidate must be a US Citizen and requires an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
