SNI Technology’s top client located in Thornton, CO is immediately seeking to hire a talented Telecommunications Technician for an exciting, full-time, 10 month contract position.
Please note this is a fully onsite position (i.e., 5 days in-office per week). Remote work options are not available for this position.The estimated contract term is through October 2026, with the possibility of an extension.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNICIAN
The Telecommunications Technician will provide support for the District’s Mitel VoIP Telephone System as part of the Infrastructure Operations team. This role is hands-on and field-oriented, providing installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and repair of voice systems and related components across District sites.
The ideal candidate will have general experience with enterprise VoIP systems (Mitel preferred, but we can train the right person). They will have working knowledge of cabling and network infrastructure. The candidate will also be experienced working in MDF/IDF environments and at field sites, installing, configuring, troubleshooting / testing, and replacing devices. The candidate will also have good documentation and communication habits for working with a District IT team.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting and troubleshooting Mitel VoIP endpoints and services
Basic telephone station troubleshooting
Voicemail system support
Analog line support
Working in MDF/IDF spaces to install/replace voice-related equipment
Supporting related UPS and VoIP infrastructure components
Coordinating with Network/Infrastructure staff as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Generalized experience with enterprise VoIP systems (Mitel is preferred).
Working knowledge of cabling and network infrastructure.
Experienced working in MDF/IDF environments and supporting multiple field sites installing, configuring, troubleshooting/testing, and replacing devices.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
COMPENSATION RANGE The compensation for this position is in the range of $21 to $30 per hour during the 10 month contract duration of the assignment.
