Position Overview We are seeking a Maitre D’ to serve as the face of Prhyme—an elevated host role that goes far beyond seating guests. This individual will own the front door experience and act as a hospitality ambassador, creating unforgettable first and last impressions, recognizing regulars, and setting the tone for fine dining excellence. The Maitre D’ will manage standard host responsibilities while going above and beyond with guest recognition, personalized service, and seamless communication with the service team.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly, use names, and remember guest preferences (birthdays, special requests, wine/cocktail preferences).
Maintain detailed guest notes via OpenTable or other tools to personalize each visit.
Manage reservations, seating, and flow of guests with precision; confirm and follow up on reservations, VIPs, and special requests.
Escort guests to tables, introduce servers, and provide key guest details to the service team.
Assist with coat check, special occasion touches, and concierge-level service.
Monitor dining room for pacing, atmosphere, and cleanliness; adjust lighting, music, or layout as needed.
Communicate proactively with management and staff about any issues or guest needs.
Represent Prhyme and the Justin Thompson Group values; maintain a polished appearance, punctuality, and pride in the role.
Provide support to the front‑of‑house team and step in where needed without prompting.
Qualifications
Prior experience as a host or in guest‑facing fine dining roles.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain poised in a fast‑paced, high‑end environment.
Familiarity with reservation platforms (OpenTable preferred) and guest note systems.
Highly observant, detail‑oriented, and passionate about hospitality.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Must be available evenings and weekends.
