Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Credentialing Specialist
to manage and coordinate the credentialing process for a variety of healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credentialing standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation procedures. This is an
onsite position —remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of provider credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, and privileging.
Perform credential audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Manage credentialing files and maintain accurate records using MDStaff or equivalent credentialing software.
Interpret and ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, and accrediting body requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, NCQA).
Collaborate with internal departments, providers, and external agencies to obtain and verify credentialing documentation.
Monitor expiration dates and assist providers in maintaining up-to-date licensure, certifications, and other required credentials.
Assist in preparation for audits and accreditation reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in credentialing or healthcare compliance.
Familiarity with MDStaff or similar credentialing software is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards related to provider credentialing.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
