Volunteer Recruiter This position plays a key role in advancing CASA’s mission by inspiring community members to become volunteer advocates for children in need. In collaboration with the Executive Director and the Director of Volunteer Engagement, this individual will develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to build and sustain a strong, diverse network of volunteers dedicated to changing the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities Community Outreach & Recruitment

Lead the recruitment and screening of community volunteers.

Represent CASA at community events and gatherings where potential volunteers are present.

Secure and deliver engaging speaking presentations throughout the community to raise awareness of CASA’s mission.

Build and strengthen partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and civic groups to expand outreach and volunteer engagement.

Volunteer Recruitment & Training

Coordinate and evaluate volunteer training sessions in collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator.

Maintain the organization’s book and DVD resource library, and inform volunteers of available materials.

Input all required information for new volunteer training classes into Optima.

Develop and implement creative strategies to recognize and show appreciation for volunteers, supporting long‑term retention and engagement.

Case Management

Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer files.

Track and record outcome data related to recruited volunteers in appropriate databases or spreadsheets.

Program Activities

Participate actively in all staff meetings.

Play a key role in planning and executing fundraising and appreciation events.

Complete a minimum of four hours of in‑service training each year, including workshops, conferences, and continuing education opportunities.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Director of Volunteer Recruitment.

Skills and Qualifications

Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for community engagement.

Proficiency in social media platforms and digital outreach strategies.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Experience working with and supporting volunteers.

Strong general computer and technology skills.

Ability to motivate, empower, and guide volunteers to be successful in their roles.

Must have no record of confirmed child abuse or neglect, and no felony convictions.
