We are seeking a
Litigation Attorney
to manage all aspects of case preparation (excluding trial and arbitration presentation) for medical malpractice matters. The attorney will work closely with trial attorneys and Claims Specialists to develop case strategy, prepare pleadings, manage discovery, and ensure efficient case resolution.
This is a
100% onsite role
in Los Angeles, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with trial attorney on discovery and investigation strategy
Obtain concurrence with Claims Specialist on defense preparation
Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery
Attend court appearances as required
Assist in preparing cases for trial or arbitration
Prepare motions and reports as requested
Share knowledge and guidance with other attorneys
Respond to Claims Department inquiries
Ensure compliance with Defense Attorney Guidelines
Represent CAP/MPT physicians in deposition-only cases
Required Qualifications
J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Active California Bar license
3-6 years medical malpractice litigation experience
Knowledge of case management, pleadings, discovery, and motions
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
