Position Overview

The

Legal Assistant

plays a key role in supporting paralegals and attorneys and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position involves interpreting for non‑Spanish fluent attorneys, maintaining electronic and physical files, preparing immigration petitions for mailing, and assisting with legal work. This is a full‑time, in‑office position based in Fairfax, VA, and Silver Spring, Maryland, with the expectation of daily on‑site presence. Key Responsibilities

Legal Support & Coordination

Assist paralegals and attorneys with case preparation and documentation Prepare and mail immigration petitions and supporting documents Maintain organized electronic and physical case files Client Communication & Interpretation

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients when needed Assisting in client document collection and gathering final petition assistance Administrative & Operational Support

Assist with office tasks and workflow management Support ongoing projects and initiatives within the firm Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred Must be fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking) Detail-oriented and highly organized Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint preferred Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Work Environment & Benefits
