About the Opportunity Join world‑class experts as our Business Development Manager for the Industrial segment. This remote/hybrid role in the West‑Central U.S. Region leverages your sales and business development experience to further Ocean’s mission of equipping humanity with precise technology and data.

Responsibilities

Define and execute strategies to compete, win market share, create new opportunities, and accelerate market growth across the industrial market, including semiconductor OEMs, LED OEMs, laser and photonics, display OEMs, and consumer electronics.

Disrupt customer mindsets and sales teams with innovative ideas showcasing Ocean’s unique value proposition.

Become a trusted advisor, listening to and understanding customers’ true problems to help them think through solutions and generate awareness and value around the Ocean brand.

Engage with industry experts, identify trade shows and events, develop a target networking plan, and define strategies to increase awareness of Ocean’s solutions.

Own your business segment, review sales numbers, and grow existing accounts to their full potential, meeting or exceeding all sales targets aligned to fiscal year priorities across revenue and margin.

Drive product and solution evolution working with engineering, product development, and marketing teams, delivering customer commitments on time and on budget.

Maintain industry expertise, constantly upskill and learn to stay ahead of market opportunities and capitalize on new programs and investments.

Value and pursue leads aggressively, ensuring accuracy and integrity of sales data maintained in Salesforce and Oracle. Conversion is a critical component of success.

Qualifications

5+ years in senior sales roles within the specified industrial markets.

Entrepreneurial spirit with a natural curiosity for what “can be” and willingness to challenge boundaries.

Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills delivering keynotes to large audiences.

Excellent planning, communication, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.

Proven track record increasing market share, converting sales, and building lasting customer relationships in high‑tech markets.

Outstanding interpersonal skills, an ability to motivate, inspire, and influence cross‑functional teams independently.

Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity, and operate effectively in a highly matrixed organization.

Strong bias for action, high sense of urgency, and ability to drive results.

High standard of ethics and integrity.

Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
