As a Project Manager you will play a key role in managing medium size enterprise projects across organizational lines. The Project Manager will plan, execute, and deliver projects according to strict timelines and within budget using established Space Coast Credit Union policies and procedures. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors and/or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Work at this level may vary in scope from small to medium-sized projects, impact multiple business units, utilize new or multiple technologies, possess an increased level of visibility, impact and risk, and may require communication at all levels of the organization. This role is managed under the general supervision of the Assistant Vice President, Project Management Office.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Define project scope, approach, goals and deliverables for medium complex enterprise initiatives that support business goals in collaboration with Senior Management and stakeholders. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Coordinate with project stakeholders throughout the project. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Lead the projects teams and help them develop the optimal approach for delivering a project, selecting the best methodology, structure, and deliverables.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary. Where required, negotiate with other managers for the acquisition of required personnel. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Direct and manage projects from beginning to end. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle and elevate when necessary. Develop project plans and manage the development of all project artifacts/documentation. Develop and deliver status reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Identify, assign, track, and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, along with scope, risk and resource allocation.
Coach, mentor, motivate and lead project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work and deliverables.
Support the AVP, PMO as needed in building out the PMO which includes but not limited to creating procedures, work instructions, process mapping, document requirements and being an advocate for project management within Space Coast Credit Union.
The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to work successfully in both independent and team-oriented environments across multiple areas to achieve common business objectives, even in ambiguous situations. They should also have experience working with business stakeholders in a cross-functional matrix environment and be able to gather requirements from clients or business. Experience with the full product lifecycle and understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies is a must.
The candidate should be able to drive results and be accountable for business needs. They should be capable of leading and managing technical and business resources with varying levels of knowledge, experience, and backgrounds. Additionally, they should be able to react promptly and efficiently to project adjustments and alterations and be flexible during times of change. The ability to defuse tension among project teams, if it arises, and bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity is also essential.
Prioritization and execution of tasks, problem-solving in high-pressure environments, strong written and oral communication skills, experience in presenting to stakeholders and or senior leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies are all crucial for this position.
5-8 years of Project Management experience required planning, executing, and delivering medium to large-scale, complex, and medium-to-high-risk software development, vendor software products, and infrastructure projects.
Experienced in developing and implementing project management processes, procedures, and structure in an organization. Good understanding and experience in managing projects that follow a structured Project Management/Software Development life cycle and can manage projects using predictive, adaptive, and hybrid methodology/framework.
Good understanding and experience in using project management tools and systems for planning, tracking, resource management, and risk management.
Previous experience managing projects in a financial institution is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or similar STEM concentration required. Very strong work experience may substitute for formal education requirements. PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred. Lean/Sigma certification a plus. Good understanding of project management concepts around predictive, adaptive and hybrid methodology/framework.
$111,100.00 - $117,665.00
