Located on a 330,000 square foot lot on 11th Avenue between 53rd and 54th Streets, Mercedes‑Benz Manhattan is the only Mercedes‑Benz dealership in the country owned and operated by Mercedes‑Benz, delivering an uncompromising inventory of new and pre‑owned Mercedes‑Benz luxury vehicles and Sprinter Vans. We are the trusted dealership for drivers throughout New York and beyond.
The mission of the Mercedes‑Benz Manhattan Service Advisor is to be responsible for service sales and gross profit, and for proper handling of service customers. By his/her actions, the Service Advisor influences the volume of service business and plays a key role in insuring customer satisfaction.
Pay range:
$80,000 - $130,000. This position is heavily commissioned.
Responsibilities The Mercedes‑Benz Manhattan Service Advisor must provide a consistently outstanding brand and customer experience through consistently outstanding preparation, attitude, and teamwork.
Mercedes‑Benz Manhattan Service Advisor must determine needed maintenance and diagnose cause of malfunction or refer to test technician as necessary.
Provide clear estimate for labor and parts.
If cost of service cannot be established during reception, determine diagnosis charges and contact customer for approval of final repair.
Follow up progress of each repair during the day, contact customer for estimate and time changes.
Record changes on repair order in approved fashion.
Handle telephone calls regarding work in process, appointments, technical and service related inquiries.
Compare final invoice with original repair order, analyze quality control report.
Deliver vehicle to customer.
Pre-delivery via telephone upon completion of repairs.
Handle all customer contacts in a professional manner.
Show enthusiasm and commitment to customer care to ensure customer satisfaction.
Inspect each vehicle during write up to verify stated complaint and look for any needed additional work.
Make sure all sublets are handled through the Parts Department using the golden rod copy to the repair order.
Write up and follow new, used and encore lease cars.
Prepare proper estimate in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Able to commute into and out of Manhattan/New York City on a daily basis.
Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 3 years of Dealership Service Advisor experience.
High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.
Must have valid driver's license.
Must be able to work Saturdays.
Work Holidays when required.
