What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Serve as the subject matter expert on NERC Reliability Standards, providing internal guidance and training
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the NERC compliance program
Identify and manage compliance risks; design and oversee necessary controls
Coordinate with third‑party contractors supporting NERC compliance efforts
Conduct gap analyses, report findings, and maintain compliance documentation
What is Required (Qualifications)
6-10+ years of corporate compliance and operational NERC compliance experience in grid infrastructure, BESS, or utility‑scale renewable energy systems
Proven operational NERC compliance experience with utility‑scale solar, wind, or energy storage projects
Familiarity with RSAWs, audit processes, and compliance monitoring/reporting tools
Strong track record in developing and implementing NERC compliance programs
Knowledge of compliance resolution and root‑cause analysis for compliance failures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with current ISO/RTO standards and guidelines
Understanding of national energy power markets such as PJM, ERCOT, SPP, MISO, NYISO, ISO‑NE, and WECC
Previous titles may include Manager of NERC Compliance, Sr. Regulatory Manager, or NERC Compliance Lead
