Our Client seeks a highly skilled
Buyer
who will be responsible for completing purchasing activities to ensure high-quality purchases are obtained at prices which maximize value in a timely manner for a $30mm annual spend. Buying activities and responsibilities may include maintenance and repair parts, operating supplies, equipment and supplies, outside services, commodities, company vehicles, and contractual purchases. This role works closely with Production Planning, Sales and Operations to ensure supply chain viability. Purchases Packaging materials and supplies, equipment and outside services to be delivered on schedule in accordance with existing purchasing policies and guidelines, thus contributing to efficient factory operations. Proactively searches out new and improved products which could improve production efficiencies or quality of finished product. Provides for the purchase and timely delivery of assigned operating supplies in an economic manner. Implements and administers the purchasing and construction contracts for the Company's expansion and improvement programs in an economical and timely manner. Monitors and tracks material complaints through to a mutually beneficial resolution. Must Haves
Experience Buying Packaging Supplies (Emphasis on paper bags & printed poly) Purchase Order Buying Experience SAP Experience Procurement Category Management Required Work Experience
3-5 years of purchasing and manufacturing experience Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Business, or a related field General knowledge of purchasing, the bidding process and contract terms and conditions Seniority Level
