Job Overview In the role of
Sr. Analytical Microbiological Specialist
working in
Albany, GA
you will be part of the Quality Department in Brewery Operations. You will perform a variety of basic microbiological or chemical and physical analyses on products, raw materials, in‑process materials per MillerCoors quality system requirements. This position reports to the
Product Lab Manager
and works closely with Brewing & Packaging Operational Teams.
What You’ll Be Brewing
Performs, interprets and evaluates chemical and microbiological analyses
Develops, trends and summarizes analytical and microbiological information
Monitors, calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment and ensures appropriate levels of quality supplies
Facilitates quality improvement and problem solving
Key Ingredients
You can work a rotational shift and weekends
Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high‑speed, high‑volume manufacturing environment
Demonstrable evidence of driving World Class Supply Initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives
You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business
You have a bachelor’s degree in a science related field of study or extensive micro laboratory/brewing experience (Preferred degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cereal Science, Microbiology, Food Science, Agronomy, and Chemical Engineering).
You have at least 2 years’ experience in quality related processes
You have knowledge of the principles and techniques of microbiology and chemistry
You exhibit knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrument maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting
You have working knowledge of statistical methods and computer skills
