About The Role At Boston Scientific, as part of the External Operations team supporting Sourced Finished Medical Devices in the IC/PI division, the Supplier Engineer III assists with the design and development of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet manufacturing delivery targets, minimize costs, and ensure product quality at BSC Finished Good Suppliers.
Your Responsibilities Include
Sustaining activities at suppliers for Capital Equipment and associated accessories
Collaborating with suppliers and extended team for investigation of device issues or supply constraints through use of problem‑solving, process capability studies, Six Sigma and Value Improvement projects, data analytics and/or process documentation.
Supporting and/or leading projects for product qualification, change management, process development, cost reduction, capacity management, and all related documentation activities
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to qualify and improve supplier processes; submit and manage manufacturing change requests, as necessary
Communication of status, project updates, key findings, etc. to stakeholders
Ensuring corrective actions are identified, implemented and controlled by suppliers
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
3+ years of experience in engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, supporting Capital Equipment/electronics manufacturing
Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and/or international)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in regulated industry, specifically working with suppliers and/or contract manufacturers
Strong electrical engineering or electronics background
Interpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and external relationships
Organized and detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects
Strong knowledge base of statistical methods, problem‑solving techniques, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Understanding of validation, risk management documentation (Design and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis), and product lifecycle
Compensation Minimum Salary: $76,000
Maximum Salary: $144,400
Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrated level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
