Associate Vice Provost – Enrollment Management

About the Role Reporting to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, the AVP will serve as the key leader of Undergraduate Admissions.
The position requires the AVP to develop and execute a campus‑wide recruitment strategy, manage all application and admissions operations, and collaborate with campus units to align admissions with enrollment goals and academic capacity.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Enrollment Outcomes
Lead undergraduate recruitment aligned with the university’s Strategic Enrollment Plan (SEP 2030), focusing on funnel growth and pipeline development.
Identify and pursue new opportunities for enrollment growth, including enhanced pathway programs and in‑state access initiatives.
Use analytics, forecasting, and market intelligence to guide enrollment planning.
Guide the admission team to balance growth, selectivity, and student‑experience objectives.
Collaboration & Campus Partnerships
Partner with Academic Colleges, Student Success, Student Life, Access & Engagement, OIT, and other units to integrate recruitment strategy with institutional priorities.
Coordinate enrollment strategies with academic capacity and student‐success initiatives.
Participate in cross‑campus planning committees.
Admissions Operations & Application Management
Provide strategic leadership for application processing and decision release.
Oversee Slate/CRM operations, advancing technology to automate workflows and enhance communications.
Foster continuous improvement in application experience while complying with regulations.
Innovation, Technology & Continuous Improvement
Lead modernization initiatives for recruitment strategy and applicant engagement.
Strengthen analytics infrastructure for forecasting and yield optimization.
Partner with enrollment leadership to respond to student, market, and policy changes.
Communication & Institutional Engagement
Serve as a visible campus and public‑facing leader for undergraduate admissions outcomes.
Collaborate with Communications to design and implement marketing & outreach strategies.
Report enrollment goals and trends to leaders and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum seven years (ten preferred) of progressively responsible leadership in higher‑education admissions or enrollment management.
Experience with Slate or comparable CRM platforms.
Demonstrated success in executing enrollment strategies and achieving enrollment goals.
Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship‑management skills.
Commitment to expanding student access and enrollment opportunities.
Experience building institutional partnerships, recruiting priority populations, and improving operational efficiency.
Ability to handle challenging situations with grace, resilience, and positivity.
