We are looking for a Materials Manager to oversee the planning and coordination of inventory and materials operations at a primary manufacturing site in North America. This role ensures all departments have timely access to materials required to execute the master production schedule while driving supply chain excellence and continuous improvement.
Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute supply chain operational excellence aligned with long-term strategic goals
Support procurement cost-savings initiatives through negotiations and sourcing alignment
Achieve inventory targets, optimize inventory turns, and minimize stockouts
Manage best-in-class inventory control and cycle count programs with 99%+ accuracy
Ensure high aftermarket performance with 95% Fill Rate and 99% On-Time Delivery
Align materials strategy with overall business growth objectives
Improve material movement processes to reduce waste and increase efficiency
Implement and standardize best-practice materials management processes
Oversee material control, storage, transportation, and delivery of all materials
Track and report key performance metrics
Lead and support the team to ensure timely order placement and expediting when required
Communicate shortages, risks, and process improvements to leadership
Collaborate closely with operational leads and material planning teams to support the master schedule
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or related field); Master’s preferred
ASCM / APICS / ISM certifications (CSCP, CPIM, CLTD) preferred
5+ years of progressive experience in Materials or Supply Chain Management
Experience in large, global, or process-driven organizations preferred
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work effectively in a global matrix environment
Manufacturing operations experience preferred
Oracle ERP experience preferred
