Position Overview The Sport Club Supervisor reports to the Assistant Director Sport Clubs and Sport Club Program Managers. Supervisors will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Sport Club Program, including event management, practice supervision, office coverage, data collection, risk management, implementing policies and procedures, and equipment inventory.
Job Description
Provide home event coverage as needed (games, practices, tournaments, etc.) – 50%
Ensure all necessary documents and processes are completed during practices/events (waivers, equipment, practices, events, etc.) – 20%
Enforce all policies and procedures – 20%
Attend all mandatory staff training sessions and staff meetings – 5%
Respond to emergency situations – 5%
Required Qualifications
Maintain current CPR/AED training (training provided).
Remain current in all CPR/AED skills; must pass on‑spot testing.
Must be available to work some weekdays, weeknights, and weekends (10‑15 hours per week).
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher as demonstrated in the application materials.
Must have a current driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent leadership skills as demonstrated in the application materials.
Experience in coordinating and supervising events as demonstrated in the application materials.
Ability to provide positive customer service and conflict resolution as demonstrated in the application materials.
Demonstrated knowledge of advising/supervising organizations and/or individuals as demonstrated in the application materials.
Effective communication and organizational skills as demonstrated in the application materials.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills as demonstrated in the application materials.
Position Requirements During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or be pre‑enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or be enrolled in summer session or be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments do not apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Employment Conditions
Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by unit leadership and HR.
This is an hourly/non‑exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non‑exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
