Electrical Maintenance Supervisor - Southport, NC
Location: Southport, NC. Salary range: $58,100 – $108,000. Position: Full‑time, Mid‑Senior level. Employment type: Full‑time. Job function: Management and Manufacturing.
Job Overview The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the maintenance team to support plant‑wide maintenance activities, ensuring high equipment availability, reliability, and proper functioning. This role requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that maintenance mechanics and technicians are equipped with the necessary tools, training, and equipment to safely and efficiently perform their duties. The position requires 24/7 availability to support the plant as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Establish expectations for safety, reliability, quality, service, and productivity across the maintenance team.
Continuously identify and implement safety and efficiency improvements for maintenance tasks.
Provide direct supervision of daily maintenance activities, ensuring ADM standards of productivity and quality are met.
Motivate direct reports to exceed customer expectations.
Act as the primary contact for other departments regarding work scheduling.
Guide troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns and repair activities.
Participate in developing preventive maintenance requirements for new and existing equipment.
Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure proper documentation of work performed and parts transactions.
Participate in performing root cause analysis of equipment failures.
Support plant reliability initiatives and analyze work order history to identify opportunities for improvement.
Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions.
Minimum Education and Experience High School or GED. Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance experience. Technical degree desirable.
Skills and Qualifications
Proficiency in mechanical diagnosis and repair.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to deliver superior results under all conditions.
Creativity and problem‑solving abilities.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Basic competency in office applications (e.g., MS Office) and ability to master other systems such as Maximo, with the capability to train others.
Physical Requirements Ability to climb stairs, perform lifting, sit or stand for extended periods, work at heights, bend, kneel, and be respirator‑qualified. Capability to work in all environmental conditions, including temperature extremes and dusty environments.

Compensation and Benefits Base pay offered may vary depending on market location and individual qualifications. Hourly and salaried non‑exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay when working qualifying hours. Pay range: $58,100.00 – $108,000.00.
