Position Overview The Retail Store & Area Manager is a dynamic, hands‑on leader responsible for overseeing all retail operations within their assigned store and surrounding area. This role owns the success of the Hat Bar experience—both in‑store and off‑site—by driving sales, leading and developing teams, managing events, and building strong local partnerships. This individual acts as the primary ambassador for Gigi Pip in their market.
Key Responsibilities Retail Store Operations
Lead all day‑to‑day store operations to ensure exceptional customer experiences and brand standards
Drive sales performance through goal setting, coaching, and active selling
Analyze KPIs and sales data to inform staffing, merchandising, and operational decisions
Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation align with Gigi Pip brand guidelines
Oversee inventory management, loss prevention, and operational compliance
Manage store schedules, payroll, and labor efficiency
Area & Market Leadership
Own overall performance and growth of the assigned geographic area
Execute local strategies to increase brand awareness, traffic, and revenue
Serve as the main point of contact for all area‑related initiatives and needs
Identify new opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and events
Recruit, hire, onboard, and train all store and event staff in the area
Build, coach, and retain a high‑performing, customer‑focused team
Conduct performance reviews, ongoing training, and development plans
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑energy team culture
Off‑Site Events & Hat Bar Experiences
Plan, coordinate, and execute off‑site Hat Bar events (pop‑ups, private parties, brand collaborations, corporate events, etc.)
Manage event staffing, logistics, inventory, and on‑site execution
Ensure off‑site experiences deliver the same elevated service and brand consistency as in‑store Hat Bars
Track event performance, sales, and ROI
Partnerships & Community Outreach
Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, venues, stylists, influencers, and brand partners
Proactively seek partnership opportunities that drive sales and brand exposure
Represent Gigi Pip at community events, networking opportunities, and local activations
Own area‑level sales goals, budgets, and profitability
Manage expenses and ensure events and operations stay within budget
Submit accurate reporting related to sales, events, staffing, and performance
Qualifications
3–5+ years of retail management experience, preferably in specialty retail, fashion, or experiential retail
Proven success leading teams and driving sales performance
Strong organizational and project management skills
Comfortable working nights, weekends, and travel for events as needed
Passion for fashion, styling, and creating memorable customer experiences
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills
