What to Expect
A facilities maintenance electrician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems within Tesla R&D facilities, and this includes troubleshooting electrical issues, installing new wiring or fixtures, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and in addition to managing maintenance schedules, planning and executing complex electrical projects, collaborating with other departments, and providing expertise in troubleshooting intricate electrical issues. You must be willing to work across all of our main East Bay and Peninsula locations.
Shift: 11:30PM - 7:30AM; Monday - Friday
What You'll Do
Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and installs electrical equipment utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
Operate, diagnose, analyze and repair industrial equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, electric doors, overhead cranes and exhaust ventilation system
Self‑directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work
Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned
Occasionally work on projects running conduit, pulling wire and connecting devices utilizing lifts and ladders
Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems
Develop equipment SOPs and Preventive Maintenance program
What You'll Bring
Minimum 8+ years related work experience as an Industrial or Facilities electrician with ability to use hand tools, electrical meters, and testing equipment
Experience in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC
Strong knowledge of switchgears, trouble shooting of motor controls, drives and electronic components
Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics; understanding of Drives and PLC is a plus
Proficient with computer and mobile devices
Valid Driver's License required
Willingness to contribute to emergencies and operations that may be outside of their normal skill set, such as restroom repairs and other work unfamiliar to the candidate

Expected Compensation $32.00 - $54.76/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
