Our Commissioning Manager ensures that systems, facilities, or equipment are installed, tested, and functioning as intended before being handed over to the client.

DUTIES & SCOPE

General

Understanding of basic electrical fundamentals

Good Communication Skills – verbal and oral

Understanding of mechanical systems, including controls, and electrical requirements of each

Basic computer Skills

Excel/Word/Power Point/ACC

Communication through Teams/Outlook and through various meeting platforms

Ability to learn new Programs for Cx. (Procore/Cx Alloy). Cx Alloy would be a plus since all 3 projects are using this platform.

Know how to

Read and understand drawings – specifically electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls

Read, summarize Specs pertaining to Cx/NETA

Read and summarize submittal components for Testing/NETA/Cx

Edit and update multiple Commissioning Online Platforms

Review Cx Scripts and understand what is being performed and why.

Review Schedules – and provide input concerning timeframes and predecessors required to perform the Cx activities.

Observe and review test reports

Understand the concepts of what is being tested.

Review forms and data to verify completeness

Analyze data in order to verify passing or failure

Detail oriented

NETA vendor Coordination

Schedule NETA vendor effectively for testing

Perform meetings to coordinate with HEI team and vendor

Properly communicate issues with forms and high priority items

QUALIFICATIONS

Journeyman Trade Certification in a related Construction trade will be considered an asset

A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated leadership skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite

Excellent knowledge of the Building Codes

Preferred certifications: OSHA 30, CPR First Aid

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.

Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).

Employee's personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1-250 lbs., Class 1A-300 lbs.).

Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required.

Climbing ladders and steep stairs, crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
