Job Summary We are looking for a Project Manager to lead small to mid-size projects or phases of larger initiatives. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of taking projects from concept through implementation. This role will involve managing project scope, budgets, and diverse stakeholder relationships while ensuring successful delivery using standard Project Management, Change Management, and Risk Management methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Work with business leaders to define scope, manage objectives, requirements, deliverables, and value propositions. Develop integrated project plans, identify dependencies and critical paths, and track/report project status while adhering to policy standards.
Stakeholder Management: Lead communication planning and execution with project team members. Set expectations for diverse stakeholders through transparent reporting channels and maintain strong collaborative trusted advisor relationships.
Change and Risk Management: Develop change management plans including communication and training strategies. Identify, track, elevate and resolve conflicts. Perform impact analysis, manage dependencies, and elevate risks with corrective/mitigating actions.
Budget and Resource Management: Take responsibility for project budgets and financials throughout the project lifecycle. Gather estimates from resources, track utilization, assess staffing needs, and monitor/manage vendor performance. Facilitate and execute budgetary requests independently.
Methodology Application: Understand and apply various project delivery methodologies such as waterfall and agile. Coordinate comfortably with all types of projects and support business case development and project initiation activities.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience: Five or more years of increasingly complex project-related experience required
Skills: Critical thinking, problem solving, conflict management, ability to "connect the dots," organized and self-disciplined approach, proven leadership competencies, highly polished written and verbal communication skills including stand-up presentations
Certifications: Standard project development/management methodologies and tools knowledge required
Other: Ability to think and execute on multiple levels, take initiative to understand business impacts and industry trends, foster open feedback, and adjust communications to different audiences
Preferred Qualifications
PMI certification
Knowledge and experience in the financial services industry
Demonstrated ability to coach team members and share knowledge to help others develop
Established reputation for presenting and gaining support for ideas/solutions
Experience independently seeking out learning opportunities and staying current on industry best practices
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Pay Rate: $65.00 to $70.00 per hour
Contract Duration: January 5, 2025 through June 30, 2025
