Responsibilities/Expectations

Supervises the development and implementation of pipeline operations, equipment maintenance and safety, including technical standards and governmental requirements.

Serves as a subject matter specialist, providing technical or operational guidance to the team, including troubleshooting problems using existing precedents and procedures.

Leads team projects or assignments of major scope or complexity that impact profitability.

Follows company policies and appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.

Coordinates protection of community, personnel, environment and assets.

Coordinates awareness of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance.

Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records.

Provides mentorship to team members.

Other duties as assigned.

Education/Years of Experience

Required:

High School Diploma/GED and minimum eight (8) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician in the oil and gas industry.

Preferred:

Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree and minimum eight (8) progressive operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facility.

Physical and Environment Work Requirements

Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces.

Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team‑lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.

Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time.

Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Use hand tools.

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements

Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays as needed.

May be required to work overtime, 10‑12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.

Other Requirements

Must possess a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.

Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills; advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.

Leads teams in development and implementation of operational and/or technical standards and specifications.

Assumes responsibility for the interpretation of business aspects and coordinates with management to ensure overall success.
