V2X is seeking a

Document Control Officer (DCO)

to provide classified security support to a government customer based at

NAS Patuxent River, MD . Duties require the implementation of security practices and procedures in accordance with all applicable policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Populate and maintain an automated document/media control, accountability and tracking database (e.g. SIMS, ACDS or other database)

Receive and establish control and accountability for all incoming material and media, including classified material/media by means of US Postal Service, designated courier, Defense Courier Service (DCS)

Transmit all material and media in accordance with applicable DoD, DoN policies and facility Standard Operating Procedures, to include couriering, electronic transmission and facsimile

Verify the storage capability of all intended recipients of material transmitted outside the facility; track material to intended recipients and report any issues

Prepare material for transmission, including the preparation of external transfer receipts, package receipts, mailing labels, envelopes, facsimile transmission sheets and registered mail receipts

Ensure all receipts, logs and certificates are maintained in accordance with DoD, DoN policies and Customer direction

Prepare document cover‑sheets and ensure proper classification markings/labeling of material/media and coordinate the destruction of material/media in accordance with applicable DoD, DoN policies and facility Standard Operating Procedures

Archive material, documents and media as required, including digitizing “hard copy” into electronic storage systems

Provide inventory reports to the TSCO/ATSCO at least annually and participate in the annual inventory or other Customer directed inventories

Operate secure communications equipment in accordance with the facility Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

High School Diploma (or equivalent)

This position requires U.S. citizenship and a final DoD TOP SECRET clearance with most recent investigation (SSBI, SBPR, PPR, T5, T5R) completed within the last 6 years

Experience:

Two (2) years’ experience in a DoD Security environment (Military, Govt Civilian, or DoD contractor). One (1) year of that experience working in a specialized classified environment is desired

This position primarily involves learning and applying fundamental skills and concepts using established procedures and standard practices based on detailed instructions. It supports document control and accountability operations (Registry) and qualifications are generally acquired through on‑the‑job experience, formal training, and/or skills‑specific training. Experience with document control databases such as SIMS or ADCS is preferred but not required

Skills & Technology Used:

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company: USD $65,000 - $75,000.
